American actor and director George Clooney has donated millions of dollars to fight war crimes and corruption in Africa.
The Clooney Foundation for Justice has donated money to the research initiative Sentri, a Clooney co-founder, to discover networks of money behind the conflict in Africa.
He said the focus of the initiative would be to “not pay for war crimes”.
So far, with the donation of George Clooney and actor Don Chido, a total of $ 3.45 million has been collected for the charity campaign.
The money is to be used for financing the report on illicit cash flows in South Sudan and Sudan, Congo, Somalia and the Central African Republic.
Clooney and human activist John Prendergast founded Sentry in 2015.
